Srinagar, July 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a meeting held in Rawalpindi with its Convener, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, in the chair, paid rich tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931 and said that their sacrifices will not be allowed to go waste.
The participants of the meeting said that the July 13 martyrs had shown the Kashmiri Kashmiris the path of martyrdom and sacrifices. They reiterated that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would be accomplished at all costs.
The participants strongly denounced the continued illegal house detention of Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders and described it frustration of the authorities. They also demanded release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.
The participants were of the view that resolution of the lingering dispute could be brought about through tripartite talks involving Pakistan, Indian and the genuine Kashmiri leadership in line with the relevant UN resolutions.
They also appealed the international human rights organisations to help stop Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory and play an effective role in peaceful settlement of the dispute.
Others who attended the meeting included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Pervez Ahmad Shah, Ishtiaq Hameed, Abdul Majeed, Muhammad Khateeb, Adeel Mushtaq and Mehmood Ahmad.
