Srinagar, January 27, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the martyrs’ mission to its logical conclusion at all costs. Shabbir Ahmad Shah addressing a meeting of his party activists in Srinagar said that on this day in 1994 the Indian troops had massacred dozens of innocent people in Kupwara.
He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs had highlighted the Kashmir dispute at the international level and the world community was putting pressure on India to resolve the dispute.
He said that settlement of the dispute was a pre-requisite for establishing permanent peace in the region. Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that by observing the Indian Republic Day as a Black Day, the Kashmiris had conveyed a message to the world that they wanted to get rid of Indian bondage.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah, addressing his party activists in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Kupwara. He said that the blood of Kashmiris would not be allowed to go waste.
He said that the UN resolutions provided the best solution of the lingering Kashmir dispute. He added that it was the responsibility of the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and put pressure on New Delhi to settle the conflict over Kashmir in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
