Karachi, October 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said KMC will fully cooperate with the Pakistan Association of Photo Journalist in the holding of first convention aimed at promoting the photo journalism in Karachi.
A three day exhibition will also be held in the Frere Hall on this occasion which was expected to be attended by more than 200 photo journalists from different countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, USA, France and other countries. Like the scribes who report various events through their pen, the photo journalist brings the news and facts in front of us through their cameras.
He said this while talking to a representative delegation of Pakistan Association of Photo Journalists which called on him in his office.
The delegation was led by Azmat Ataka whereas the President of PAPJ Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Media Coordinator Saleem Mughal was also accompanied him.
Administrator Karachi said this convention would provide the opportunity to photographers from the around the world to get together and discuss the various issues facing by the whole world.
The leader of the delegation while giving a briefing to Administrator Karachi said the convention will be held in the first week of November this year and three day exhibition of the selected photos of the photographers will also be held alongside this program.
He said this event was also coordinated by Karachi Press Club, Consulate of Japan and other organizations so that this could be held in a befitting manner. Administrator Karachi assured the delegation of all possible support and cooperation.
