Karachi: Financial Advisor KMC Amir Khursheed has said KMC’s budget for next financial year will be prepared under Sindh Local Government Ordinance 1979. Various measures were taken for providing relief to people. District Octroi Tax needs to be enhanced further.
He expressed these views while addressing the participants of Financial Management Course held in the City Institute of Image Management.
Additional Director Local Fund Audit Syed Arif Raza, Director Budget KMC Nasir Mehmood, Director CIIM Muhammad Shahid were also present on this occasion.
Mr. Amir Khursheed said financial crisis in KMC was resolved and the issue of payment of salaries to staff was also addressed. District Octroi Tax needs to be increased as this would bring improvement in the running of essential services organizations and the citizens would get better facilities at the hospitals and other such institutions.
He said previously government was paying Rs320millin as OzT share to KMC and now this amount was raised to Rs850million which has made the running of administrative affairs easy.
Financial Advisor said the Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has directed that the next year budget must be people friendly and have a realistic approach. Additional Director Local Fund Audit and others also spoke on this occasion
