Karachi Metropolitan Corporation takes action against illegal pole signs

Karachi, March 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): Following the directive of Provincial Minister for Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon and KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui the staff of Local Taxes (Advertisement) Department and the Anti-Encroachments Cell removed more than 3500 illegal pole signs and stemmer displayed in place of pole signs from different areas of the city.

The action was taken in the supervision of Senior Director Local Taxes Abdul Rashid Khan in coordination of Senior Director Anti Encroachments Bilal Manzar and the staff of Anti EnEncroachments on major city corridors including Abdullah Haroon road, Sharea Faisal, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Shahra-e-Quaideen, University Road, Tariq Road, M.A Jinnah Road, Rashid Minhas Road, Burns Road, Sharah-e-Noor Jehan, Sher Shah Suri Road, Bahadurabad, Boat Basin Clifton and other areas of Clifton. Plan was also made to remove he illegal pole signs and stemmers on Korangi road, Shahrah-e-Pakistan and other areas.
