Karachi, January 13, 2016 (PPI-OT): The KMC Officers Welfare Association has established Rs5million KMC Officers Welfare Fund which will be used for the educational, marital expenditures and medical treatment of the family members of officers. The Association has initially transferred a sum of Rs1million in this fund to be disbursed on annual basis whereas remaining required amount would be met through donations received by KMCOWA.
This was decided in a meeting held in the chairmanship of the president of KMCOWA Muhammad Rehan Khan. The allocated amount will be utilized for the above three purposes i.e. for payment of educational expenditures, marriages of member’s children and for payment of medical treatment of the family members of association. The needy officers would be provided with all possible support, this was decided in the meeting.
The meeting also reviewed the formulation of health insurance policy of officers and it was decided that the association will start this policy immediately with the publication of advertisement in the newspapers to make it transparent. It was also decided to print a note book for the members of the association and to continue the membership process till 20th February 2016. The association also asked the KMC officers to obtain their membership before 20th February so that they could cast their vote in the elections which will be held in March 2016.
