Karachi, January 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said KMC will provide all possible cooperation for the establishment of a medical college under University of Karachi. Two new buses will be handed over to Karachi University soon. He said this on a meeting with the Vice Chancellor KU Dr. Muhammad Qaiser who called on him in his office on Tuesday.
Chief Officer Matanat Ali Khan, Sr. Director Medical Services, Dr. Sohail Barkati and other officers were also present on this occasion. Administrator Karachi said a memorandum of understanding with Karachi University will soon be signed regarding establishment of medical college so that another medical college could be established in the city.
He said we all should work for the betterment and progress of Karachi University. He suggested that students of Karachi University be sent to KMC for apprenticeship and practical training. Students from Business Administration, Applied Physics, Environmental Sciences, Local Government, Mass Communication, and Geography Departments have better chance to take advantage of this opportunity in various departments of KMC. Administrator Karachi said employees of KMC and Towns administration will be sent to Karachi University for Diploma in Local Government so that their performance could improve further.
He also suggested that lectures of local and international personalities might be arranged in Karachi University like it happened in other universities of the world. The Vice Chancellor said Karachi University was planning to establish a medical college for its students. He also invited Administrator Karachi on a visit of Karachi University.
