Karachi, June 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that measures for providing citizens coming to graveyards for Fatiha with all possible facilities should be taken on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat and along with elimination of wandering dogs trimming of trees and plants in graveyards should be ensured so that citizens could be prevented from any inconvenience.
KMC and all District Administrations should carryout all necessary works along with cleanliness of graveyards in their areas on preferential basis. He said this while addressing a meeting in his office in which officers of Municipal Services Department and other relevant Departments were present.
Administrator Karachi Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi directed officers to pay special attention on the routes of mosques near graveyards, repair the sewerage lines which were chocked and make arrangements for drinking water on important locations.
He said that lighting arrangements on the routes of graveyards and mosques should be made and arrangements for proper medical camp, doctors, medicines and spray should also made on internal routes of graveyards as well.
On this occasion concerned officers of Municipal Services Department informed Administrator Karachi that arrangements were being made in graveyards include Orangi Town 14/B, Siddiqabad (New Karachi), Muhammad Shah, Sakhi Hassan, Paposh Nagar, Yasinabad, Model Colony, Drigh Road, Saudabad, Korangi no. 6, Chakra Goath, PECHS and Essa Nagri graveyards. Officers further informed that spray will be performed inside and outside of mosques, imam Bargahs, graveyards in the evening on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat during which Municipal Public Health Incharges of concerned districts will remain present.
