Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator attends rally on Fire Fighters Day

Karachi, May 04, 2016 (PPI-OT):KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed appreciating the services of fire fighters for saving the lives and property of citizens said they have the status of a hero in society. Without caring for their own life, these people were always ready to save other’s lives. Paying tribute to the fire fighters I hope the fire brigade department would continue to render such great services. He was addressing to a rally held by the fire brigade department on the international fire fighter’s day on 4th May.

The senior director of municipal services Ibrahim Baloch, chief fire officer Tehsin Siddiqui along with firemen and others participated in the rally which started from Civic Centre and ended on Mazar-e-Quaid. Administrator Laeeq Ahmed on this occasion said today we pay tribute to particularly those martyr firemen who gave their life while protecting the lives and property of citizens.

He said the services of fire fighters were for all citizens without any discrimination. Administrator Karachi said the fire brigade of KMC presently has three snorkel ladders and the faults in these snorkels would be removed soon whereas more snorkel ladders will be purchased with the release of funds from the Sindh Government.
