Karachi, July 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s President Muhammad Haroon Agar has urged the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue to upgrade the software of GST e-Filing Portal with the new changes introduced in the Finance Bill, particularly the increase of GST to 17 percent as the KCCI’s members were facing difficulty in filing their GST returns.
In a letter to Chairman FBR, Haroon Agar has drawn his immediate attention towards necessary upgrading in the software of GST e-Filing and stated that several members have approached KCCI informing that they were unable to file their GST Returns electronically as the relevant system of the FBR was accepting the filing on old GST rate of 16 percent while the system was not receiving electronic filing of GST at the rate of 17 percent as per the new changes introduced in Finance Bill/ Budget 2013-14.
Haroon Agar demanded to upgrade the system on immediate basis in order to avoid inconvenience caused to the registered tax payers who file their returns electronically as per new changes and enhanced GST rate of 17 percent.
