Karachi, January 07, 2016 (PPI-OT): President, SITE Association of Industry, Mr. Junaid Esmail Makda on behalf of Leadership and Managing Committee of SITE Association of Industry heartily felicitate Dr. Arshad Vohra in being nominated Deputy Mayor of Karachi which is indeed a signal achievement and will indeed prove most beneficial for the improvement and betterment of the management of the Metropolitan City – Karachi, economic hub of Pakistan and its infrastructure.

Karachi is referred as the financial capital of Pakistan. It generates more than 60% of total tax collections of the Federal Board of Revenue. Karachi’s GDP is around 20% of the total GDP of Pakistan. The exports contribution of Karachi is more than 50% approx. of the total exports of Pakistan.

We feel that the Election as Deputy Mayor of Dr. Arshad Vohra is more important considering the fact that he is an Industrialist and also former President of SITE Association of Industry and Former Chairman, All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association which will surely go a long way in resolving the multifarious issues and problems faced by the all the industries situated in the industrial areas of Karachi due to his vast and immense experience in the field and that he will definitely work towards rejuvenating the Industrial areas all over Karachi and the city at large.
