Srinagar, May 01, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, speakers at a function organized by Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement on the foundation day of party, today, in Srinagar, reiterated to continue freedom struggle against all odds.
The event titled Martyrs’ Role and Current Challenges was held at Bagh-e-Mehtab in Srinagar.
Over one thousand party members of JKSM participated in the function.
Those who addressed the gathering included JKSM Chairman Zafar Akbar Butt, Abdul Aziz Dar alias Gen Musa, Syed Salim Gilani, Imtiyaz Reshi, Haroon Ahmad, Babar Qadri, Sajjad Gul, Abdul Qadir Dar, Musaddiq Meraj and Shakeelur Rehman.
The speakers paid rich tributes to renowned Mujahid commander, Abdul Majeed Dar, social activist Abdul Ghani Butt and other martyrs. They urged India to shun rigid and military might policies on Kashmir and give right to self determination.
The speakers appealed to the United Nations to implement its resolutions on Kashmir. They rejected India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir and demanded Kashmiris’ inalienable right to self-determination. They said that separate colonies for non-locals would be opposed, tooth and nail. The speakers emphasized that India and its agents were carrying out the plan of changing the demographic composition of the territory in line with the strategy devised by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The speakers strongly criticizing the authorities over the arrests and harassment of Hurriyet activists and youth. The JKSM also held free medical camp on the occasion.
