Srinagar, March 08, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Socio Economic Coordination Committee (JKSECC), a representative forum of educational associations, has threatened to close all private schools and colleges in the valley if the educational institutions run by Jamaat-e-Islami are not ensured to function normally. The JKSECC in a meeting in Srinagar discussed the ban on the socio-religious organisation and crackdown on its leaders and activists.
It said that the people of Kashmir will not allow the authorities to play with and jeopardise the career of thousands of students pursuing education in the JI-run schools. The representatives from educational associations demanded immediate revocation of the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and putting an end to unwarranted arrests and raids on its leaders and activists.
