JKPM distributes relief among flood victims in Rajouri

Srinagar, March 02, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), organized a relief camp at Panchayat Rajdhani in Thanamandi area of Rajouri for the flood victims of the area. Warm clothes, blankets and other relief goods were distributed among one hundred poor and needy families.

APHC leader and JKPM senior Vice Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem who presided over the relief camp called upon the rich and affluent people of the society to come forward and extend their helping hand to the victims.

He said it was the collective responsibility of the society to help those who had been left devastated by the September floods. The APHC leader criticized India for doing nothing to mitigate the sufferings of the flood-affected people of Kashmir. He said the BJP government was in a way taking a revenge from the people of the Jammu and Kashmir by denying them relief and rehabilitation. He appealed to the international community to come forward with the liberal funding for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims.
