Srinagar, July 10, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League has called upon international human rights organizations to play their role in settlement of the Kashmir dispute so that human rights violations by Indian forces could be brought to an end in the territory.
The JKPFL at a meeting, which was presided over by its General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Parray in Pulwama said that the right to self-determination principal offered the best possible solution to the Kashmir dispute.
The meeting maintained that peaceful and respectful resolution of the dispute was imperative for better Pak-India relations.
The participants of the meeting paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of 13th July, 1931 and termed their sacrifice as a beacon of light for the freedom loving generation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the JKPFL in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Delhi’s decision to close the UNMOGIP office in New Delhi could not change disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. He asked India read the writing on the wall and give the Kashmiris an opportunity to decide their future as per UN resolutions and their aspirations.
