JKPFL rally asks UN to stop planned bloodshed in IOK

Srinagar, August 21, 2016 (PPI-OT): A big anti-India and pro-freedom motorcycle rally under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) was held in Muzaffarabad, today, which called upon the United Nations to save Kashmiris from Indian army’s onslaught and planned bloodshed in occupied Kashmir.

The participants of the rally also urged the UN to force the Delhi regime to give entry to the Red Cross, Red Crescent, and Human Rights Council into the traumatized and tormented occupied Kashmir. The rally was led by Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League and former Convener of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) AJK Chapter.

The peaceful protesters on hundreds of motorbikes and many on foot, with placards and banners of freedom and plebiscite, chanting high-pitched slogans “Go India go back”, “Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris” marched along the Neelam Bank from Neelam Chowk to the Press Club, where the rally was addressed by the party Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani.

He warned that India was doomed, its days were numbered in Kashmir and it was the responsibility of the World Body to enforce demilitarization of the Indian army and hold plebiscite in the region to ascertain wishes of the people.

He said that Kashmir was heading towards human catastrophe due to India’s savage war against the Kashmiris with pellet guns, curfew, and day and night raids and beatings with the intention of blinding, maiming and slaughtering the youths of Kashmir.

There were hundreds blinded by pellets, over 80 martyred and thousands severely injured in hospitals that couldn’t cope with the extra-ordinary situation. Besides this, nocturnal curfew and door to door searches by army and torture and humiliation of the families had made life horrible in Kashmir.

He said the UN and OIC should take robust action against India’s inhuman measures, as they did against Serb army in early 1990s to save the Bosnians from further genocide. He said the Kashmiris could never compromise with India and would not rest until freedom from India. The rally was also addressed by Secretary, JKPFL, Muhammad Rafi Nadeem and others.
