JKML expresses solidarity with family of martyred youth

Srinagar, January 29, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) visited Arihal area of Pulwama district and paid glowing tributes to martyred youth, Saqib Shafi Dar. Saqib Shafi Dar was martyred by Indian troops along with another youth during a cordon and search operation in Khonmoh area of Srinagar on Saturday.

The JKML delegation led by party General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, and comprising Manzor Ahmed Lelahari and Aijaz Ahmed visited Arihal and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

Addressing a gathering of mourners on the occasion, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai deplored that India instead of taking measures to resolve the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective wants to thrust its choice through barrel of gun. He said that more than six lac Kashmiris had been killed and property worth trillions was destroyed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir during the past over seven decades but Indian brutality and repression seemed to have no end.

Muhammad Rafiq Ganai said that the Kashmiri youth were rendering their lives for a sacred cause and giving a new impetus to the ongoing freedom movement. He said that India’s stubbornness on the Kashmir dispute was the main reason of the ongoing bloodshed in the occupied territory. He urged New Delhi to give up its intransigent approach and take steps to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations for ensuring durable peace in the region.
