JKLF continues poll boycott drive in IOK

Srinagar, May 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leaders continued their election boycott campaign in Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara urging the people to boycott the May 7 sham polls in the territory.

The JKLF leaders, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed and Noor Muhamad Kalwal addressed a public gathering at Wagab in Baramulla and apprised the people of the negative effects of the Indian fraud elections. They said that the purpose of sham polls in occupied Kashmir was aimed at deceiving the international community.

The JKLF leaders said that the people of Kashmir had not given sacrifices for constructions of roads and economic packages but for securing right to self-determination and they would take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion instead of participating in the polls drama.

The participants of the public gathering raised high-pitched pro-freedom slogans. The JKLF leaders on the occasion also distributed posters and pamphlets regarding election boycott among the people.
