Srinagar, March 24, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have booked two Jamaat-e-Islami activists under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) in Bandipora district. An Indian official confirmed that Hafiz Muhammad Sikander Malik and Sheikh Ali Muhammad had been booked under PSA and were shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu. Hafiz Sikander, a resident of Gundpora Rampora, is Bandipora district president of Jamaat-e-Islami, while Sheikh Ali Muhammad, a resident of Ashtengoo, is Bandipora Tehsil president.
Meanwhile, the authorities also booked the principal of a Jamaat-e-Islami-run private school under Public Safety Act in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday. Mubashir Hussain, principal of Shah-e-Hamdan institute, was booked under PSA and sent to a jail in Kathua district of Jammu. Mubashir Hussain, a resident of Awneera village of the district, was detained during a crackdown against the party.
