Jama-e-masjid Takbeer to be constructed in ministers’ enclave: minister

Islamabad, May 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Minister of State for Housing and Works, Barrister Usman Ibrahim, directed Pak-PWD to construct Jama-e-Masjid Takbeer in the Ministers’ enclave.

The Minister paid a visit to Ministers’ enclave on Youm-e-Takbee. In order to highlight the importance of Youm-e-Takbeer, the Minister ordered the concerned quarters to construct a grand mosque here which will be named as Jama-e-Masjid Takbeer.

The Minister directed Pakistan Public Works Development (Pak-PWD) officials to complete the land survey and arrange a private contractor for construction immediately. It was also discussed that despite being built by a private contractor the ownership of land will remain with the Ministry of Housing and Works.

It was also anticipated that the mosque will have the capacity to accommodate more than 700 namazis. The Minister was accompanied by Director General Pak-PWD and some senior officials of Ministry of Hosing and Works.
