Iranian parliamentary delegation calls on Governor Sindh

Karachi, December 02, 2012 (PPI-OT): An Iranian parliamentary delegation led by Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, called on Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here on Sunday.

The visiting delegation has arrived in the metropolis earlier in the day from Tehran. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, and Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh, Haleem Adil Shaikh, were also present on the occasion.

Talking to the delegation, Dr. Ebad spoke of the deep friendly ties between the two brotherly countries. He said that there is a potential for enhancing the bilateral trade between the two countries.

The Governor said that in the recent days Pakistan and Iran are rapidly moving ahead for mutual cooperation in the economic field. He was of the view that Pakistan can benefit from Iran’s expertise in the realms of energy, oil and gas.

Dr. Ebad said that the Irani investors can benefit from the investment opportunities available in Pakistan.

The head of the Irani delegation also spoke of the close friendly ties between the two countries. He said that Iran is assisting Pakistan in the field of oil and gas.

The work pertaining to laying of Iran gas pipeline upto the Iranian border would be completed in four months’ time. He also extended invitation to Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan for a visit to Iran.
