Peshawar, July 24 2013 (PPI-OT): The Iranian Consul General Hassan Derwaish called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication and Works Yousaf Ayub Khan at his office in Peshawar on Tuesday. He remained with the minister for some time and discussed with him matters of mutual interests.
During the discussion the provincial minister stated that Iran was their close neighbouring country which had better religious and cultural relations with Pakistan. He said Iran had always supported Pakistan in every hard time and extended full assistance to it for which the government and the people were very much grateful.
The Iranian Consul General Hassan Derwaish reciprocated the noble sentiments of the minister communication and works and stated that there existed better ties between both the countries which would go on increase day by day.
He said Iran was giving much importance to the development in the Pakistan especially the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and had signed many memos of understanding with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this regard. He said all those memos needed to be implemented practically.
He said Iran would fully continue its support and assistance to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and would extend practical assistance in the people welfare programmes. He expressed gratitude to the minister communication and works and invited him to visit Iran.
