IOK regime disallows Juma prayers at Srinagar Jamia Masjid

Srinagar, April 15, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, fearing protests against the recent civilian killings in Handwara, the puppet authorities disallowed Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today. The muezzin of Jamia Masjid told media persons over phone that he was not allowed to enter into the mosque by the Indian forces personnel.

“I was not allowed to enter the Jamia Masjid. I was asked to leave from the main gate of the Masjid. They didn’t allow congregational prayers there,” said the Muezzin, Muhammad Yaseen Shah. The APHC Chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, was scheduled to lead protests against the civilian killings from the Jamia Masjid today. However, the authorities continued to place him under house arrest and clamped curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar.
