IOK people urged to stay away from coming sham polls

Srinagar, March 26, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party has urged the people to stay away from the coming sham parliamentary elections.

Senior leader of the party, Adnan Salafi addressing people at Jamia Masjid, Devalgam in Kokernag area of Islamabad district today said that the so-called elections would be a one-sided drama to exploit the international community on Kashmir.

Terming the elections as a farce exercise, he said it aimed at diluting the ongoing freedom movement. He said participation in the sham elections lengthens the goal of freedom and is detrimental to Kashmiris’ movement.

Making a fervent appeal to people for election boycott, Adnan Salafi said: “How can we vote for pro-Indian servants and those who murdered our young children and unleashed a terror of pellets. How can we betray the blood of our martyrs? We have to seriously think over these facts and completely boycott the so-called elections.”
