Karachi, May 10, 2016 (PPI-OT):IGP Sindh A. D. Khawaja presided over a meeting at CPO and reviewed different projects related to e-policing, on Tuesday. According to a press release, the meeting was attended by DIG, Headquarters Zulfiqar Larak, DIG/T and T Imran Yaqoub Minhas, DIGs Security Maqsood Ahmed Memon, Director IT Tabassum Abid and AIG Adeel Ahmed Chandio.
The IGP Sindh was briefed about different components of e-policing project and its status and significance. He also reviewed the measures being adopted for the security of the citizens. The IGP held said extraordinary steps must be taken to improve law and order by utilizing available resources and manpower.
He directed to run the Command and Control Centre efficiently and make it useful in the larger interest of public. Khawaja reviewed the functioning of all the components and decided to constitute a separate committee with DIG/Finance, DIG/HQs, AIG Security and Director IT for in-depth study/analysis to make e-policing a viable and more effective project.
