Inspector General of Police Punjab for eliminating crimes

Elimination of crimes, culmination of religious extremism, sectarianism and specially control of kidnapping for ransom incidents are the top priorities of the Punjab Police and this is why there are only two cases of kidnapping for ransom that are lying pending in Punjab.

This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman while addressing to Police Officers at Police Darbar and soon after the media representatives at Police Line, Sargodha, today. RPO Sargodha and all DPOs of Khushab, Bhakkar, Mianwali including Police Jawans were present on this occasion.

IGP stressed upon the Police Officers/Jawans that they should prepare themselves to fight against crimes. He appreciated the services of Sargodha Police for crushing the kidnappers specially in Khushab, Bhakkar and Mianwali. He also directed the Police Jawans that they should follow the footprints of DPO Sargodha, Dr. Rizwan and not accept any kind of pressure while discharging their official duties.

IGP further said that Punjab Police Force has constantly remained in touch with the religious scholars because only with their cooperation, the force can overcome the issue of sectarianism and the religious extremism.

The Provincial Police Chief further said that a regular accountability process within the force is continued and honest and crime fighters are being encouraged whereas corrupt and cowards will not be protected.

IGP also told that the children of honest and dedicated Police Officers/Officials will be considered during the new appointments of Police Jawans in the force.

Later, IGP inaugurated the “Integrated Central Digital/GPS-15 Control System” in Sargodha.
