India’s detention policy in IHK denounced

Srinagar, April 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah has denounced the Indian policy of extending the detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists in a bid to stifle their voice for freedom from Indian bondage.

Firdous Ahmad Shah addressing a function, which was organized to pay tributes to martyr, Muhammad Ishaq Rafiqui at Aabi Guzurgah in Srinagar. Rafiqui was martyred by the personnel of Border Security Force on April 9, 2013 in detention.

The PDP Chairman said that India would not be able to suppress the liberation struggle through arrests; rather such tactics would strengthen the sentiments for freedom in the territory.

Meanwhile, a PDP delegation led by Firdous Ahmad Shah visited Aabi Guzurgah and expressed condolences with the family members of the martyr, Muhammad Ishaq Rafiqui.
