Srinagar, April 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, has strongly denounced the use of brute force and undemocratic tactics by India to suppress the voice of dissent in the territory.
Muhammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar said that on one side, India claimed to be the largest democracy in the world, but on the other, it had crossed all the limits of oppression and brutality in the occupied territory.
He said that India’s brutal tactics had failed to subdue the liberation sentiment of the Kashmiri people. “India has used all its weapons and war tactics to muzzle the voice of freedom but the hard reality is that the freedom sentiment is deep in the hearts of people,” he added.
Muhammad Yousuf Naqash maintained that the pro-India parties had been given a free hand to conduct election campaign, but at the same time the so-called largest democracy of the world had curbed the movement of pro-freedom leaders who were campaigning for the election boycott. He appealed to the people to completely boycott the sham elections and said that these polls were staged to strengthen the illegal occupation of India on Kashmir.
The APHC leader said that no power on the earth could stop the Kashmiri people from achieving their inalienable right to self-determination. He also denounced the arrest of Hurriyet leaders and activists including Mushtaq-ul-Islam.
