Srinagar, June 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, today, taking the number of the slain youth to four since yesterday.
The troops launched a violent cordon and search operation at Panjran in Lassipora area of the district, last evening, and martyred one youth. Three more youth were martyred by the troops in the same area, today. The bodies of the youth were recovered from the debris of two residential houses destroyed by the troops in the area.
The martyred youth were identified as Suleiman Khan, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Imran Ahmed Butt and Aashiq Hussain Ganai. Suleiman Khan and Shabbir Ahmed Dar were working with the Indian police as special police officers, who had gone missing along with their service rifles from District Police Lines, Pulwama, and had joined the mujahideen ranks, yesterday.
Meanwhile, people took to the streets and staged forceful demonstrations against the killings. Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, injuring several of them. The occupation authorities suspended internet service in Pulwama and several other areas of south Kashmir. The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, and Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, in their statements in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth.
The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemning the booking of illegally detained party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and Hurriyat leaders, Aasiya Andrabi and Masarat Aalam Butt by India’s National Investigation Agency in fresh fake cases. It said that instead of releasing the Kashmiri political prisoners on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, New Delhi had booked them in fresh cases which clearly exhibited arrogance of Indian state against the Kashmiris.
Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the slapping of black law, Public Safety Act, on its illegally detained Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, for the third time and lodging him to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
On the other hand, an Indian paramilitary commando committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle while on duty in Muchpora Keller area of Shopian district. This incident raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 430 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date. An Indian soldier was injured in a landmine blast in Jullas area of Poonch district of Jammu region, today. Two Indian policemen were injured when unknown persons lobbed a grenade towards Sopore police station, today. On the other hand, Indian police and troops arrested four Kashmiri youth from Udhampur, Doda and Kathua districts of Jammu region.
