An Indian prisoner who was convicted on spying charges has died of natural causes at a jail in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, local media reported on Friday.
Krishan Sagar was transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment in the wee hours of Friday after his health suddenly deteriorated, local TV Channel Abb Takk quoted jail officials.
According to Xinhua news agency, the 63-year-old died in the hospital.
Sagar was convicted on spying charges and imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab province.
