Srinagar, December 23, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leaders have condemned the destruction of houses and properties of people by Indian troops during a military operation in Sopore town. The APHC leaders including Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Masroor Abbas during their separate visits to Sopore expressed solidarity with the victim families who lost their homes due to the mortar shelling of the troops at Saidapora in the town.
The leaders were shown the dozens of residential houses and orchards damaged by the troops in the name of search operation in the area. On the occasion, Nayeem Ahmad Khan while paying tributes to the youth martyred by the troops during the action deplored that India was using such violent military tactics to crush the sentiment of Kashmiri people and weaken the ongoing resistance movement. Masroor Abbas said that such tactics could not intimidate the Kashmiris into submission.
