Srinagar, April 21, 2016 (PPI-OT):Indian Home Ministry has issued a fresh advisory for its armed forces about threat of increased militant activities in occupied Kashmir, particularly after the recent spate of civilian killings in Kupwara. The ministry while issuing the advisory directed the puppet administration and armed forces including Indian police and paramilitary forces to remain alert to the threat of attacks by Mujahideen in the territory.
The ministry pointed out that situation in the territory could take an ugly turn in reaction to the fresh killings in Kupwara. The advisory citing the statements of Hurriyet leaders about launch of agitation advised the puppet administration to remain watchful about the possible eruption of a popular movement in Kashmir.
The Indian Home Ministry quoting intelligence reports expressed concern over increasing trend of joining militancy by the Kashmiri youth. It also made a mention of increasing local support for militancy, with recent trends pointing to a rise in instances of Kashmiris turning up for funerals of martyred militants, people’s protests at the scene of encounters and an increase in recruitment of local Kashmiri youth into militancy. The ministry instructed Indian Army, police and paramilitary forces to continue its operations in all those areas where Mujahideen are active.
