Indian airport authorities, army trying to grab land: Zafar

Srinagar, March 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): After five days house detention, Hurriyet leader and Chairman of Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt under Public Contact program today visited Rawalpora, Gogoi, Uush, Rangreat and Humana Budgam.

He was accompanied Maulvi Mushtaq, Mohammad Shafi, Bag Ijaz, Nazir Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi and other party leaders and activists. A delegation of Gogoi Chuck and Rangrait met Zafar Akbar Butt and disclosed that army and Indian airport authorities have grabbed hundreds of kanals of land and trying to build a colony for outsiders.

They said that airport authorizes have also captured the land forcefully and are now trying to grab more land. They said that similarly at Dassam Kralhpora Indian army and airport authorities are trying to grab the land and colonizing it.

Zafar Akbar Butt while interacting with the delegation said that Indian armed forces have grabbed our beautiful meadows and pastures like Tosiamadain which have enough potential to entertain international tourists.

Zafar said that India is trying to damage our sensitive environment under a well planned strategy so that we can remain economically dependent. He advised people to protest against this injustice peacefully at all levels and maintained that till the withdrawal of forces from the state, Kashmiris will continue to fight peacefully.

Meanwhile, Zafar Akbar Butt condemned the highhandedness of forces in Hajan and its surrounding areas and termed it worst kind of barbarism. He also condemned the detention of residents and ransacking of their houses and other properties like vehicles. Salvation Movement local leaders including, Javed Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed Visited the family of Martyr Farhat Ahmed Dar and paid tributes to him. They also conveyed the message of solidarity and sympathy of the party chairman to the family.
