Srinagar, July 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF), Syed Bashir Andrabi, has said that mere visits of Indian leadership have not changed the ground realities of Kashmir and they should take steps towards resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Syed Bashir Andrabi addressing a gathering at Mughulpura in Pulwama said that the economic packages and inauguration of projects would not serve any purpose until the Kashmir dispute was resolved as per the relevant UN resolutions and will of the Kashmiri people. He said that the Kashmiri had rendered matchless sacrifices in their ongoing liberation movement and they would continue their struggle till complete success.
Syed Bashir Andrabi hailed the Kashmiri people for observing shutdown on Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit to the territory. He said that the shutdown had conveyed a message to the Indian Prime Minister that the people of Kashmir rejected India’s illegal occupation over Kashmir and wanted settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per their aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.
The APHC leader opposed the setting up of satellite cities for Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley. “We are not against return of the Pandits. But we won’t allow separate cities for them in the Valley,” he said, adding that the move was a conspiracy of the Indian rulers to change the demography of the territory.
He said it is high time for Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to fulfil the promises made by Indian leadership with the Kashmiris and take steps towards settling the Kashmir dispute for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia.
He urged the international community to come forward and help the oppressed Kashmiris in achieving their inalienable right to self-determination.
