Srinagar, April 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while taking a strong exception to the statement of Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesman, Vikas Saroop, has said that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and India has occupied it through military might in violation of all international norms and ethics.
Reacting to the assertions of Vikas Saroop in which he had claimed that Kashmir was an integral part of India, Syed Ali Gilani in statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that India’s stubborn policy on Kashmir was the main cause of uncertainty in South Asia.
The octogenarian leader called upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to use its influence to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and grant the people their right to self-determination as acknowledged by the United Nations.
Meanwhile, APHC Chairman while expressing concern over unpleasant incidents, which took place at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri said that communal elements were spoiling the atmosphere at the university under a pr-determined plan.
The ailing Hurriyet leader also denounced non-mention of Indian Army in the first investigation report registered by police in the killing of five civilians in Kupwara. He said the act has proved how much the administration was serious about investigating the killings.
