Srinagar, August 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that India cannot prolong its occupation on Kashmir through military might.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza talking to Kashmir Media Service from Srinagar said that the unprecedented sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir for securing right to self-determination would bring positives results and one day the Kashmiris would get rid of India’s rule.
He expressed serious concern over the growing Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory and said that the use of brute force by the Indian government and its puppet administration in occupied Kashmir could not prevent the Kashmiri people from their just struggle for raising voice for their inalienable right to self-determination.
He stressed the UN Secretary General to take practical and solid steps for resolving the lingering dispute of Kashmir. He urged India to give up its unrealistic and rigid stance towards Kashmir and resolve the dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. He also demanded release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, Imtiaz Ahmad Reshi, Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Abdul Majeed Wani, Farooq Ahmad Khan Mamoosi, Abdul Ahad Qadri, Javed Ahmad and others visited hospital and enquired about the health of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who was injured in a road accident in Srinagar.
On the other hand, the JKPL spokesman in a statement said that Mukhtar Waza after recovery would visit Shopian. He paid rich tributes to Nazir Ahmad on his third martyrdom anniversary and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the liberation movement to its logical conclusion.
