Bahawalpur, August 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): Like every other part of the country Independence Day was celebrated with full zeal and fervour in Bahawalpur Cantt, paying homage to our Shuhadas and also those who took part in Pak Movement. For this purpose to inculcate nationalism and passion in the present young generation, a Jashan e Azadi program was organized in Bahawalpur Garrison in which children from different ages / groups and youth of Bahawalpur participated. Questions related to Pak Movement were asked from the participants and documentary movies were also shown. The participants took part with full zeal, dedication and enthusiasm.
Students of Army Public School, Sadiq Public School and IUB played national songs on the occasion. A Mehfil -e- Sama was also organized on this occasion in which Mr Amjad Sabri Qawal was invited and he sang his famous qawali’s. Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur, Commissioner Bahawalpur and other senior civil / police administration staff and notables of Bahawalpur city also attended the show.
Lt General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Corps Commander Bahawalpur was the chief guest on the occasion. He presented gifts to the participants and appreciated the knowledge of youth about History of Pakistan and their passion in celebrating the Independence Day.
