Karachi, December 13, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Officer KMC Matanat Ali Khan has said that those allotted plots in case of non- payment of liabilities under different schemes, townships, KDA and city government would be cancelled and auctioned n last week of December and KMC officers should discourage illegal occupation on government land and if any officer or employee found involved in such activities, disciplinary action against him would be taken immediately.
He said this while addressing a meeting held on recovery in committee room at Civic Center. The meeting was attended by Director General Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, Director Recovery Fazeel Bukhari, Director Land Najam-uz-Zaman and other officials. Chief Officer said that it was necessary to improve the recovery position and at the moment 107 residential and commercial plots were available for auction therefore officers should stop encroachments on such plots.
He directed XENs of concerned towns to point out empty government land so that they could be auctioned to get revenue. He directed officers to come office on time so that complains of citizens would resolve whereas necessary proceedings on pending cases should go on. On this occasion he directed Director Anti-Encroachment to take disciplinary action against land mafia immediately and vacate government land without any delay.
The meeting was informed that various oil companies had not made payments of land taken for raw oil on which Chief Officer directed to issue immediate notice to those companies. He also directed Director Recovery KDA Wing not to extend due date of payment which was 40 percent concession for non-utilization and in case of non-payment those plots would be auctioned after Dec 31. He directed officials to form short-term recovery policy so that financial crises could be controlled.
