Imran attempting to take benefit from Karachi’s uncertain politics: Chandio

Karachi, September 08, 2016 (PPI-OT): Criticizing Imran Khan’s function in Karachi as ‘mere rumpus and bid to gain some benefit from uncertain political situation in the metropolis’, Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives Moula Bux Chandio said on Wednesday that PTI chief Imran Khan could not bring change in the country because of the fact that he is political immature, as cricket game and politics are two different things.

“Politics needs great sacrifices, and history is witness that only Bhutto family had rendered great sacrifices for the country and the nation, making a great political history across the world, while Imran Khan is doing politics on mere issues. Imran still needs to learn politics,” he said in a statement issued from Sindh Information Department.

He said that Sindh government, under the dynamic leadership of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, had started bringing changes in every sector of life in Sindh province, which will ensure real prosperity, development and peace. “People of Sindh, particularly citizens of Karachi, have started receiving real peace and business progress. Several new projects, including big new water project, have been launched for Karachiites,” Chandio said.

“Sindh government has also announced Rs 10 billion Karachi package under which 21 schemes will be completed during the current financial year. Sindh Chief Minister has kept peace, education, and health among top priorities as he wants to see Sindh as a developed province, where peace and prosperity will continue to thrive.”

The advisor said that PPP has deep roots in country’s politics, particularly in Sindh. Bhutto leaders are among the hearts of people and no one could take them out. He said that Imran’s recent function in Karachi was aimed at creating uncertainty among the people of Karachi. The advisor said: “Imran cannot lure people of Karachi to his party. People of Sindh are well aware of Imran’s intention.”

He said that Imran Khan is blaming others despite being himself involved in Panama Leaks. He said that the Sindh government is creating atmosphere of peace, and development and media could play a greater role in this regard. We are striving hard to ensure the implementation of labour laws. “We are also committed to uphold the right to freedom of expression.” Chandio said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPPP President Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah are following the lessons of politics and people’s service given by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also ensuring bias-free politics with slogan of Roti Kapra Aur Makan.

He said that PPP wanted to boost the federation and bring prosperity in the provinces, and that was why it ensured passage of 18th Constitution Amendment that had strengthened all four provinces. “The credit of it goes to PPPP President Asif Ali Zardari who brought it and passed it after consultation with all political and other parties.” He said that anti-democracy forces are still out to harm PPP, but our leaders are wise enough to strengthen the party by serving the masses. “

He said that PML-N government had failed to provide due funds to Sindh as a result, people were facing tremendous problems. He said that in next elections, PPP will regain its power in all four provinces and emerge as big political force with the support of masses. “The federal government has been playing step-motherly role with Sindh and has deprived it of its basic rights. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to bring young leadership in mainstream for resolving the problems facing the people,” Chandio concluded.
