Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that immediate measure are needed to improve the traffic system of major cities of province.
He was talking during meeting with a high-level delegation of the Transportation Unit of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, in Lahore on Thursday.
During the meeting, ways to improve traffic system of major cities, traffic re-engineering, parking system and cooperation regarding traffic planning and road engineering were discussed.
The Chief Minister said that the time and fuel of commuters can be saved through a better flow of traffic and a better traffic system is hallmark of a civilized society.
He said that Turkish city Istanbul has the best traffic system and we wholeheartedly welcome the cooperation extended by the Turkish brothers regarding improvement in our traffic system.
He said that comprehensive reforms are needed for improvement of entire traffic system. He said that all the feasible recommendation, to be presented by the Turkish experts team, will be implemented speedily.
Speaking on the occasion, the Turkish delegation members said that Pakistan is our second home and every possible cooperation needed for the traffic management will be provided to the Punjab Government.
