Karachi: Provincial Minister for Information Technology Raza Haroon said PECHS GBS School would after its reconstruction with a cost of over Rs88million prove to be a model school not only in Karachi but in the whole province. The school administration would be run by reputed personalities of the area.
He expressed these views while talking to media representatives in the inaugural ceremony after laying foundation stone of the reconstruction of school building on Wednesday.
MNA Waseem Akhtar, DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh, EDO Works and Services Altaf G. Memon were also present on this occasion.
D.O Works Saeed Malik while giving a detailed briefing on the project said this project which originally had duration of 3 years for completion will be finished in one and a half year time.
Provincial Minister Raza Haroon said that we brought up in this area and played cricket in the ground of this school, therefore, we have a good understanding of the problems facing by this area.
The roof of the school building was in dangerous condition and could cause major loss had it collapsed. That is why the Haq Parast Leadership made all possible efforts for its reconstruction as a model school.
Speaking on this occasion MNA Waseem Akhtar said education is considered the backbone of every nation. He said he and Minister Raza Haroon will personally monitor the progress on this project.
