Hurriyet leader Shabbir Dar suffers heart attack

Srinagar, April 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader Shabbir Ahmad Dar has suffered a serious heart attack at a police station in Srinagar. He has been shifted to SMH hospital in Srinagar. Shabbir Ahmad Dar was lodged at Kothibagh police station after he was arrested last week during protests against the killings of civilians. The people were protesting over molestation of a girl by Indian troops in Handwara.

Meanwhile, the students of Kashmir University staged an anti-India demonstration in the varsity campus. The protest led to cancellation of a scheduled visit of a puppet minister to the university. The students also hoisted Pakistani flags during the protest.

People defying curfew and other restrictions came out to the streets in Handwara and Kupwara areas and staged anti-India demonstrations against the recent incidents in the areas. Several people were injured when police used brute force on protesters. Clashes were going on between police and protesters till last reports came in.
