Hurriyet forum condemns Indian repression In IOK

Srinagar, March 14, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the occupation authorities for repeatedly restricting and barring Hurriyet leaders and activists from peacefully protesting the killings and arrests in the territory.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that as per the joint resistance leadership’s programme, the Mirwaiz was to jointly lead a peaceful sit-in protest in Srinagar on Monday, but he was put under house arrest by the authorities on Sunday evening.

He said that media advisor of the forum, Shahid-ul-Islam, was also put under house detention while senior leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, was arrested and lodged in Maisuma police station. The spokesman denouncing the puppet authorities’ repression said that on one hand, the Kashmiri people were subjected to the worst form of state terrorism, and on the other, restrictions and curbs were imposed on the voices raised against such oppression and injustices.
