Hurriyat forum meets in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 13, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq held a meeting in Srinagar, today, to discuss the present political scenario with special reference to the summoning of forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Delhi by the National Investigation Agency.

The Hurriyat forum while reading out the statement to the media in Srinagar after the meeting said, besides being head of the forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also heads social and educational institutions like Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Anjuman Nusratul Islam and Darul Khair.

Regarding prevailing tension in South Asia, the statement said Pakistan and India as nuclear powers can hardly exhibit laxity towards tomorrow. “We have to live together and live peacefully to ensure prosperity and development. What constitutes an obstacle will have to be addressed. Talks are the call of times,” the statement added.
