Home Department Imposes Ban On Unauthorized Maveshi Mandi

Karachi, October 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Home Department, Government of Sindh has imposed ban under Section 144 Cr.P.C. on establishing Cattle Market (MaveshiMandi) in the areas/locations other than places Super High Way, MalirNo.15 Asoo Goth, Cattle Colony Landhi, Rice Godam (Godown), Landhi, Hamdard University, Manghopir Road and Moach Goth, Baldia Town with immediate effect till (13th Zil Hajj 1433 Hijri).

Metropolitan Commissioner Karachi has suggested that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha 2012 from October 10, 2012 (23rd Zil Aqad 1433 Hijri till 13th Zil Hajj 1433 Hijri) Bakra Piris have to be organized atmentioned areas / locations only.

Metropolitan Commissioner has also reported that Bakra Piris are beingorganized other than areas/locations mentioned above will be inillegal act and trade of such sacrificial animals will be also beunlawful.

The Police Officer up to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectorof concerned Police Station are authorized under Section 165(1) (a)Cr.P.C. to register the complaints under section 188 PPC in writingfor the violation of Section 144 Cr.PC against the violators of this order.
