Hilal War vows not to succumb to Indian oppression in IOK

Srinagar, November 12, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Peoples Political Party (PPP) has welcomed and expressed its satisfaction over the release of all pro-freedom leaders and activists who were taken into custody in the wake of the visit of Indian Prime Minister, N. Modi on 7th November. The last one to be released in the list of the leaders was Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of PPP, Er. Hilal Ahmad War, who was released on Thursday.

Soon after his release, Er. Hilal Ahmad War called a meeting of the party men at his residence at Maisuma, Srinagar. Taking stock of the situation prevailing in the Valley, he urged his party men and the masses at large not to succumb to the hegemony and oppression of the puppet administration and keep the flame of freedom alive in their spirits and souls.

He appealed to the masses of his motherland to use novice, artistic, creative and all the constitutional means to convey their voices to the international community and demand their genuine rights to self-determination. He maintained that the motivation of the international community towards the just cause of Kashmir’s freedom was of pivotal importance towards the final resolution of the dispute and claimed it to be high time for the leadership and masses to start working on the similar lines.

Terming the incessant spree of detentions of the masses and leadership, without any reason as illegitimate, undemocratic and inhuman, Er. War maintained that such acts of the authorities amounted to the gross violation of India’s own constitution as well as international laws and conventions, to which India too was a signatory. He stated that it was a human duty of the international players to press Indian state to stop this gothic, dictatorial and hegemonic design, which it was pursuing in Kashmir.
