Higher Education Commission extends last date for receipt of applications for doctorate fellowship

Islamabad, July 30, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the last date for receipt of applications for Indigenous PhD fellowship for 5000 scholars- Phase-II” till 7th August 2012. The main purpose of the extension of the date is to facilitate the candidates especially from the far flung areas of the country.

The scholarship will be awarded for the academic year 2012-13 in all areas of studies/disciplines on the quota basis as per Federal Government Quota policy approved by Government of Pakistan.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has asked applicants who have submitted online forms under the scholarship scheme, to fill the missing mandatory information within extended date so that their applications could be considered before the merit lists for the award of the scholarship were drawn.

This is the last time applicants are being facilitated, a press release said, adding that after the deadline expires, any incomplete online applications will not be considered for further processing.
