The reaffirmation came during the meeting between Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Mr. Sohail Mahmood and the YOK President, Prof. Dr. M.A. Yekta Sarac, in Ankara, says a press release received from Ankara here today.
The discussions covered a broad range of subjects including strengthening the legal framework for increased HEC-YOK cooperation, exchange of high-level visits, increased interaction between Rectors/Vice Chancellors on both sides, steady follow-up on MoUs on collaboration between Turkish and Pakistani Universities, and faculty and student exchanges.
Views were also exchanged on the establishment of Teknoparks in relevant Pakistani universities. Currently, there are more than 1100 Pakistani students studying in various Turkish Universities, including a sizeable number under HEC scholarships.
