Islamabad: On the eve of Independence Day of Pakistan, High Commissioner Wajid Shamsul Hasan visited the families of three Pakistani young men who laid their lives during the rioting in Birmingham, and paid glowing tributes to the families for their remarkable contribution in maintaining peace between the communities by appealing for calm and restraint instead of revenge and retaliation, says a press release received from London here today.
The High Commissioner separately visited Mr. Ghazanfar Ali father of Shahzad Ali and Abdul Musavir and Mr. Tariq Jehan father of Haroon Jehan. He offered Fateha for the departed souls and offered condolences to the bereaved families. Appreciating the courage and tolerance of the families, Mr. Hasan deeply acknowledged the role o families in preventing the rise of further conflicts among the communities.
The bodies of three victims are likely to be released on coming Thursday for the funerals.
The High Commissioner accompanied by his wife Mrs. Zarina Hasan CG, Birmingham Dr. Saeed Khan Mohmand and Head of Chancery Aftab Hasan khan.
