Karachi, March 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has said that the hearts of Pakistanis throb with the people of Kashmir. This he said while talking to media persons after meeting with a delegation of Kashmiris headed by Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed here at the Governor House on Sunday.
The delegation comprised political and religious leadership of Azad Kashmir and Indian Held Kashmir.
The Governor said that Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had declared the Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan. He said that Karachi is the economic hub of the country while Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan.
The Governor said that Pakistan always extends diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people and will continue to do so. He said that long lasting peace in South Asia could not be possible without resolution of Kashmir dispute. He said that prosperity and development in the region lies in the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
The Governor also condemned the execution of Kashmir liberation movement activist Afzal Guru on false charges in Tihar Jail in India which has created unrest among the people of Kashmir.
He also demanded of the human rights organisations to raise voice against the human rights violation and aggression on the people of held Kashmir by the Indian forces. He appreciated the joint visit of Kashmiri leadership to Pakistan and said that it will supplement the efforts towards resolution of Kashmir dispute.
Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed expressed gratitude to the people of Pakistan for their unconditional support to the people of Kashmir. He appealed the political leadership of Pakistan to jointly raise voice for the liberation of Kashmir.
He also appealed the leaders of all religious and political parties in Pakistan to include the Kashmir issue in their party manifesto.
Opposition leader in AJK Assembly Raja Muhammad Farooq said that entire political leadership of Pakistan and AJK is united about immediate settlement of the core issue of Kashmir.
He said that the struggle for attainment of right of self determination bythe Kashmiris will be continued as per resolutions of United Nations.
